Who we are

Welcome to our club; we have now been running since 2016 as Finborough Ladies, having gained sponsorship and a multi-year contract to play at the sports hall at the school.  We currently have 12 teams ranging from 11-66 years. We have gained our England Netball Silver CAPs accreditation, which has earned us the Clubmark award from Sport England.

Here at Finborough Ladies we aim to have fun whilst maintaining a strong competitive spirit.  We have members who are still at school, as well as members who are older, so as you can imagine, we are a very diverse and social club. The club is run by an elected committee, who meet on a regular basis. We hold our Annual General Meeting in July which is accompanied by our presentation and awards evening. There are many different ways you can become a part of our club; a player, a coach, a team manager, an umpire, a volunteer or a committee member.

Our coaches are CRB checked and are actively seeking opportunities to develop their coaching skills with UK Sport. We have trainee, level 1 and level 2 coaches and arrange training sessions around fixtures; mainly in the half term breaks and throughout the summer holidays. Our umpires range from C award to Beginner and there are always opportunities for them to progress.

We play in the South Suffolk Netball League, with matches both home and away. Our home court is at Finborough School/Needham Market Community Centre and away matches are held in Ipswich, Framlingham and Felixstowe. We also play summer league in Bury St Edmunds, at a central venue. We put a team into the Suffolk League who are trying to gain regional qualification. We also enter many tournaments throughout the year.

Our young players have great opportunities to progress their netball through the Suffolk Pathway.
